Ronchamp
Following her seminar "Media & Architecture" SAC guest-professor Beatriz Colomina and Dan Graham visited together with students Le Corbusier's Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut de Ronchamp.



Brazil
SAC's diploma students and Guest-professor Lars Nixdorff visited Brazil on a 12 day excursion. Main purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the museum compound of Instituto Cultural Inhotim.
The museum is strategic partener of SAC's academic program 2009 and hosts the site for the diploma thesis project:
"The ART Hostel"
Beside intensive field research at Inhotim and discussions with local staff, SAC's diplomas investigated on the notion of "ARTIFICAL AND SYNTHETIC MODELS OF NATURE": A Collaborative Study between the Städelschule Architecture Class and the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais on the Topic of Brazilian Architecture, the Landscape and the Museum.
The goal of the visits was to explore the unique relationship between architecture and the landscape in Brazilian architecture.
In addition to Belo Horizonte and Brumadinho (location of Inhotim), the trip led to Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro.

London
SAC students and prof. Johan Bettum visit the EmTech Studio at AA (Architectural Association) for a series of exchange presentations.

Stuttgart
The last theory seminars in 2007 takes place in Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. The seminars are offered by Mark Wigley and Beatriz Colomina and attended by all members of SAC. The seminar series consists of a series of lectures and ensuing discussions revolving around the topic, "Deconstructing the Void".
The trip includes a tour of Mercedes-Benz Museum with its architect, Ben van Berkel, as a guide and a visit to the quintessential Modernist settlement, "the Weissenhof Siedlung," with houses by Le Corbusier.

Berlin
The SAC students and professors attend a seminar in Berlin on the work and life of Gordon Matta-Clark and his colleagues.
Beatriz Colomina guides the students around Berlin through architectural must-sees, such as the new Dutch Embassy by OMA, Berlin Philharmony by Hans Scharoun, the Unite by Le Corbusier, the National Gallery by Mies and the Bauhaus Archive by Gropius.

Dubai
The Architecture Class proudly attends the 6th Annual Architectural Symposium 2007, entitled: Recent Architectural Developments and Urban Growth in the UAE. Keynote speakers are: Dr. Charles Jencks (UK), Dr. Rasem Badran (Jordan), prof. Eckhart Ribbeck (Germany) and prof. Jose R. Caban (USA)
The SAC students of 2007 and graduates of 2006 exhibit their work in the luxurious Dubai Fairmont Hotel and in the Ajman University, Faculty of Architecture.

Belgium
SAC goes on a research trip that focuses on textiles and fiber composite structures. The trip takes the group around Belgium and North-West Germany.
Key stops are the Leuven University's Material Lab, where SAC is hosted by its director, professor Ignaace Verpoest. Other stops include The Fashion Museum in Antwerpen and the newly opened, Zollverein Industrial Complex in Essen.
